Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join our security team. You will implement, maintain, and support the organization’s data protection infrastructure, working across Windows, Linux, on-prem and cloud platforms, and improving DSPM/DLP policies.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, develop automation in PowerShell and Python, and help ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, NIST, and ISO 27001. A strong cloud and security posture mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software's
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms, ensuring security and performance.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, including sensitive information types and tuning.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents with root-cause analyses and escalation when needed.
• Contribute to projects with testing, deployment, and documentation updates.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to expand knowledge of data protection technologies.
• Stay current with data protection tech, industry best practices, and compliance needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
