Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain data protection infrastructure, including DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. The role collaborates with senior engineers to design policies and improve DSPM capabilities.

You will develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, while staying current with HITRUST, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, and related frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, configuring DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-prem and cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure) environments
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, including sensitive information types and detection parameters
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root cause analysis and escalation as needed
• Participate in testing, implementation, and documentation for data protection projects
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance of data protection software
• Collaborate with team members to expand knowledge in data protection technologies
• Stay current with data protection technologies, best practices, and compliance requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
