Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join our security team. You will implement, operate, and refine data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, including DLP and DSPM tools, and contribute to policy and procedure improvements.

The role requires hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, GKE, encryption, and major DLP vendors, plus scripting in PowerShell or Python to automate tasks. A strong collaboration mindset and up-to-date security knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies.
• Preferred 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell etc.).
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to cloud providers: GCP, AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms, including sensitive information types and tuning detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation and documentation.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance.
• Actively collaborate to expand knowledge of data protection technologies.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
