Job summary

The University of Maine System in Orono is hiring a Manager of Data Operations and Campus Relations to oversee SPC business processes and deliver technical data solutions. You will manage data loads, configuration cycles for the Common Application, and collaborate with IT to resolve system issues.

The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, experience with PeopleSoft, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Hybrid work may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Possesses a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of related work experience or 10+ years in similar work experience, preferably in higher education.
• Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and implement new functionality or business process updates.
• Strong technical skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and document imaging.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with a wide range of technology.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a fast-paced, collaborative team.
• Ability to learn and apply policies (academic and personnel).
• Ability to work with broad instructions and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support SPC business processes in a technical capacity.
• Create and maintain Prospect Data Load functionality and lead yearly Common Application configuration processes.
• Assist IT in resolving data and system issues.
• Provide timely processing of admission functions including admission application and transfer credits.
• Resolve duplicate Empl ID and retrieve data from MaineStreet.
• Supervise 1–3 Administrative Specialists and enforce department policies.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external contacts.
• Exercise independent judgment on complex, non-routine tasks.
