Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Operator for a contract, temporary possible temp-to-hire opportunity in Monterey Park, CA. The Data Entry Operator will help maintain accurate company records, update internal systems, organize physical and digital files, and provide general administrative support to customer service and office teams. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter alphanumeric data, customer information, order details, and document records into internal systems and databases.
- Review reports, logs, and records to identify errors, duplicate entries, missing information, or inconsistencies.
- Maintain organized physical and digital files according to company procedures and confidentiality standards.
- Support administrative and customer service teams with general office tasks, including answering phones, sorting mail, and preparing basic reports.
- Handle customer records, company files, and proprietary information with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Work efficiently in a repetitive, detail-focused role while maintaining strong productivity and accuracy.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Must have 2 years of experience as a Data Entry clerk, Enter and update customer, order, and document information in internal systems.
- Review records and reports to identify errors, duplicates, or missing information.
- Maintain organized physical and digital files in accordance with company procedures.
- Support administrative and customer service teams with general office tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant data entry, administrative support, order processing, or office experience is expected.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- High-speed typing ability with strong 10-key numeric keypad accuracy.
- Ability to meet a minimum 8,000 keystrokes requirement.
- Comfortable navigating multiple database systems, cloud storage platforms, and digital document imaging systems.
- Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and able to handle confidential information professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of data entry, administrative support, order processing, or office experience.
- Experience in wholesale trade, import-export, transportation, storage, materials handling, or order processing environments.
- Previous experience supporting customer service or administrative teams in a fast-paced office setting.
- Familiarity with digital document management, scanning, filing, and records maintenance processes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour.
