Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment seeks a talented data engineer to join the ISA organization. You will design and build ELT pipelines powering analytics, reporting, and AI/ML apps across SPE’s media ecosystem.

The role involves ingestion of diverse data sources, collaboration with product, data science, and BI teams, and contributing to data governance and scalable data platforms. Expect a competitive base salary and incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related technical role in a production environment.
• Experience in media analytics, streaming, or TV/film data environments is desirable.
• Advanced SQL and Python; experience building dbt transformations preferred.
• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS Redshift and modern cloud data tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business requests into robust data models, metrics, and semantic layers using dbt and SQL.
• Support ingestion of new sources into SPE’s Snowflake data platform with IT and cloud teams.
• Partner with product managers, analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver data products and analytics tools.
• Contribute to a team culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
