Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment seeks a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to define and lead a new function within the Enterprise Intelligence Platform. You will embed with SPE teams to ship end-to-end applications, shaping AI-DLC practices and delivering faster solution delivery across the studio.

You will work closely with IT and business units, influence platform evolution, and drive production-grade AI capabilities, including LLM components, while reporting to the SVP of EIP.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Full-stack production engineering across the whole application stack: object-oriented development, backend services, data pipelines, UI surfaces, cloud, containers, and IaC.
• Experience with LLM-based systems (RAG, agents, prompt architecture, evaluation frameworks).
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tooling to ship production code faster.
• Strong governance, security, and data-handling experience in regulated environments.
• Excellent stakeholder communication from frontline operators to executives.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Embed with IT and business teams on priority SPE projects and ship full applications end to end.
• Lead AI-DLC adoption in partner teams and coach self-sufficiency.
• Build production LLM components on the EIP platform for runtime inference when needed.
• Work directly with non-technical stakeholders to draw out needs and translate into a decomposed plan.
• Harvest reusable patterns back into the EIP platform backlog for future projects.
• Hold the line with senior stakeholders and own what you ship through handoff to the incumbent team.
