Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Data Engineer to build the data foundation for understanding cost, utilization, and economics of PlayStation's global infrastructure. You will own end-to-end pipelines and models, ingesting data from on-prem and cloud sources to deliver trusted insights for decision-making.

The role requires 3+ years building production data pipelines, advanced SQL, Python, and experience with Snowflake/Databricks/dbt.

Qualifications

3+ years building production data pipelines.
Advanced SQL and Python proficiency.
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and ELT pipelines.
Ability to translate business problems into measurable data solutions.

Responsibilities

Build scalable data pipelines ingesting infrastructure, engineering, financial, and product data.
Develop cost and allocation models linking consumption to workloads, services, features, and products.
Partner with engineering teams to understand telemetry and instrumentation needed to measure infrastructure.
Analyze cost, utilization, capacity, and unit economics to drive key decisions across teams.
Create trusted metrics, datasets, dashboards, and analytical tools for engineering, product, Finance, and leadership.
Establish data quality, testing, observability, documentation, and reproducibility.
