Job summary

Heading Home, Inc. seeks a Data Improvement Specialist to oversee daily data compliance for HMIS and Salesforce across its programs in Eastern Massachusetts.

You will ensure data accuracy, support data entry, and coordinate reporting for pledges, donations, and program metrics. You will work with the Senior Director of Development to post timely donations, manage donor information, and produce reports for internal teams, events, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 2+ years of information systems experience.
• Salesforce Case Management experience preferred.
• MS Excel with advanced formulas/macros.
• Microsoft Office (PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Independent, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to convey detailed information clearly in writing and speech.
• Leadership and collaboration across departments.
• Ability to define problems, gather data, and draw conclusions.
• Ability to create data visualizations.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Prior nonprofit/Human Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and report data accuracy and completeness for HUD/EOHLC requirements.
• Meet with program staff to refine data collection and program needs.
• Provide HMIS/Salesforce data entry support in person or remote sessions.
• Identify data issues and coordinate training with staff.
• Create standardized training materials for data elements and HMIS/Salesforce use.
• Support data entry/helpdesk for HMIS/Salesforce as needed across locations.
• Facilitate training workshops as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of HUD HMIS Data Standards and EOHC Data Dictionary.
• Attend meetings with Senior Director of Data and Analytics or designee.
• Manage donation data entry, gift reporting, pledges, and donor records.
• Become subject matter expert in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT.
• Support event sponsors with invitations, invoices, and tracking.
• Produce post-event summaries and ROI analyses.
• Collaborate on audits and research projects with senior leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
