Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Telecommunications Designer to support kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, in multiple U.S. locations including Herndon VA.

You will design Outside Plant pathways and building systems, including MMR/IDF layouts, кабle tray layouts, and structured cabling to support the Controls Network. You will create accurate BIM/CAD drawings, develop drawings for site and building technologies, and work with project teams to ensure on-time delivery while upholding

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience designing low voltage systems for high performing commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to perform a variety of BIM/CAD design assignments supporting multiple engineering disciplines.
• Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D BIM Models using Revit or equivalent BIM program.
• Design low voltage systems for buildings including telecommunications systems, audio visual, security, and control integrations.
• Meet required schedules while producing quality work.
• Perform QA/QC of design packages.
• Lead Telecom design team on projects.
• Mentor and lead junior designers.
