Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Telecommunications Designer to join kW Mission Critical Engineering. The role involves designing Outside Plant Pathways and building systems including MMR/IDF layouts, Cable Tray, wireless APs, and structured cabling to support the Controls Network.

You will work with BIM/CAD tools to produce 2D drawings and 3D models, lead telecom design teams, and mentor junior designers in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience designing low voltage systems for high performing commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to perform BIM/CAD design assignments supporting multiple engineering disciplines.
• Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM Models using Revit or equivalent BIM program.
• Design low voltage systems including telecommunications, audio visual, security, and building controls integrations.
• Meet required schedules while producing high-quality work.
• Perform QA/QC of design packages and support site/building technologies.
