Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is seeking a Telecommunications Designer to support Outside Plant pathways and building systems for mission critical facilities. You will create 2D drawings and 3D BIM models, focusing on low voltage telecom, audio-visual, security, and control integrations.

The ideal candidate is proficient with Revit and AutoCAD, has 3-5 years of relevant experience, and can travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience designing low voltage systems for high performing commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter.
• Ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit or equivalent BIM program.
• Design low voltage systems for buildings including telecommunications, audio visual, security, and control integrations.
• Meet required schedules while producing quality work.
• Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control of design packages.
• Prepare cable schedules and specifications.
• Lead Telecom design team on projects.
