Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Telecommunications Designer to lead building ICT and structured cabling for hyperscale data centers. You will provide technical leadership, develop Revit drawings, and coordinate across owner-driven environments and multiple teams.

The role supports hybrid or fully remote work from various US locations; travel may be required to project sites and offices. 7+ years in telecom design and a BICSI‑RCDD credential are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of telecom/ICT design experience with leadership.
• Experience producing coordinated telecom construction documents in Revit and leading junior designers.
• BICSI RCDD certification.
• Knowledge of BICSI, TIA, NEC, IEEE, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Design data center telecommunications infrastructure including cabling and pathways.
• Act as Division 27 technical lead directing design from planning to turnover.
• Evaluate design options for capacity, redundancy, and maintainability.
• Interpret client standards and coordinate deviations across deliverables.
• Coordinate interfaces with building, network, operations, and commissioning teams; lead design reviews.
• Develop coordinated Revit drawings and BIM narratives aligned with standards.
