Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments.

This role is ideal for technicians with experience in data center operations, telecommunications, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure who are ready to work independently on standard deployment and operational tasks.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and documentation.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power/connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware component installation, and out-of-band management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation activities, including continuity testing and fiber verification.
• Perform MACD activities and FRU replacements following approved procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and mitigate design or safety issues to senior technicians.
