Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure within hyperscale data centers.

You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and field support while upholding safety and Ericsson standards. This role suits technicians with data center operations, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure experience who can work independently on standard deployment tasks and collaborate with project teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification required.
• 3+ years in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing and equipment installation with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to engineering designs and installation documents.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power/connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation, including continuity and fiber verification; perform MACD activities and FRU replacements as needed.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior staff.
