Job summary

Ericsson is hiring a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and operational support while following Ericsson and customer standards.

The role emphasizes independent work, safety, and adherence to procedures, with ~50% travel and opportunities to contribute to large-scale hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or technical certification.
• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecom, or IT infra support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking gear, power distribution, and cabling.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Route, terminate, and dress copper/fiber cabling with labeling and clean cable management.
• Install PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, verify power and management connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install hardware components, and set up OOB management connections.
• Perform basic testing, validation, MACD activities, and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built docs.
• Identify design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks and escalate.
