Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and operational tasks to meet Ericsson and customer standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum a high school diploma or equivalent with technical certification or vocational training preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking gear, and power distribution.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, installation docs, and MOPs.
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment install with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install PDUs, connect to power sources, and verify power/connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install hardware components, and establish OOB management connections.
• Perform basic testing: continuity checks, fiber verification, and standard turn-up procedures.
• Execute MACDs and FRU replacements per approved procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built docs.
• Identify design or safety concerns and communicate to senior staff.
