Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers. Ideal candidates have experience in data center operations, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure and can work independently on standard deployment tasks.

You will perform rack-and-stack activities, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and documentation while adhering to Ericsson and customer standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; technical cert may be required.
• 1+ years in data center operations, cabling, or IT infra support.
• Familiarity with data center hardware, cabling, and installation standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and installation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure per designs.
• Route, terminate, and manage copper/fiber cabling with proper labeling and management.
• Install PDUs, connect to power sources, verify power and management connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install hardware, and configure OOB management connections.
• Perform basic testing, continuity checks, fiber verification, and turn-up procedures.
• Execute MACD activities and FRU replacements following approved procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built docs.
• Identify design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks for escalation.
