Job summary

Ericsson in New Albany, Ohio seeks a Data Center Services Technician to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including server and network gear, cabling, and power systems. This role requires independently handling rack-and-stack tasks, cabling, and testing while following safety and Ericsson standards.

You will perform provisioning, OOB management connections, and documentation updates, with a focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documents, and MOPs.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and safety.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage per designs.
• Route and terminate copper/fiber cabling with proper labeling.
• Install rack PDUs and verify power connectivity.
• Provision equipment and out-of-band management connections.
• Perform testing and field turn-up procedures.
• Execute MACD activities and FRU replacements.
• Maintain installation records and test results.
• Update inventory and as-built documentation.
• Identify design or safety issues and escalate.
