Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to support AWS global infrastructure in Covington, GA. You will perform server rack installations, hardware diagnostics, and network troubleshooting while contributing to 24/7 data center operations.

The role requires on-call duties, travel between data center locations, and willingness to work extended shifts to support around-the-clock services. A strong hardware/network background is essential.

Qualifications

2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
Knowledge of network design, protocols and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix Administration.
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshoot network issues and repair to maintain AWS service availability.
Serve as primary contact for internal/external stakeholders including engineers and vendors.
Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance activities.
Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on operational issue analysis.
Assist in interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
