Job summary

Gilbane Building Company in Rock Hill, SC seeks a Superintendent to independently supervise an area of trade contractors on projects up to $30M. The role is on-site daily and will fill a key role on the project team.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 4–8 years of experience on large commercial/industrial builds. OSHA 30, STS-C, First Aid/CPR/AED are required or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• 4–8 years of experience on $15–$30 million or larger commercial/industrial construction projects in a superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subcontractors to meet schedule.
• Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Maintains contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Leads contractor meetings and maintains daily reports.
• Creates and updates the project schedule and contingency plans.
• Plans, coordinates, and manages jobsite logistics.
• Ensures safety programs are followed on site.
• Mentors junior field engineers and supports team development.
• Assists in scope writing and buyout activities.
