Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Superintendent to independently supervise an area of trade contractors on a project valued up to $30M. This on-site role is key to delivering quality, safety and schedule adherence with daily presence on the job site.

You will lead field teams, coordinate with project partners, manage safety plans, and drive continuous improvement while supporting a collaborative, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4–8 years of experience on large commercial/industrial projects in superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certification
• STS-C Certification
• First Aid/CPR/AED
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade partners and sub-contractors to meet project schedule.
• Develops and communicates the on-site work plan and changes.
• Maintains contract documents and anticipates problems.
• Leads contractor meetings and safety oversight.
• Maintains daily reports and project schedule with contingency plans.
• Plans, coordinates, and manages jobsite logistics.
• Mentors junior field engineers and supports team.
• Assists in time and materials (T&M) tracking
