Job summary

Gilbane Building Company in Frederick, MD is seeking a General Superintendent – Data Centers to lead field operations on a data center project up to $100M. This role is on-site daily and drives safety, schedule, quality and cost control while coordinating with trade contractors and the project team.

You will build and mentor high-performing crews, communicate progress to owners and stakeholders, and implement the project plan from preconstruction through turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10–15 years of experience on $30–$100M projects in lead superintendent roles.
• OSHA 30-hour certified; STS-C; First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet schedule.
• Manages project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develops, communicates field work plans and changes.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate issues.
• Obtains necessary permits for construction.
• Acts as primary safety representative and enforces safety.
• Develops safety strategies and promotes safety culture.
• Plans and coordinates jobsite logistics.
• Maintains daily reports and project schedule with contingency plans.
• Leads contractor meetings and coordinates with owners/partners.
