Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Senior General Superintendent II - Data Center to lead field operations on large projects in Charlotte, NC. The role requires daily on-site presence and a proven track record in managing complex construction programs.

You will supervise project teams, coordinate trades, manage budgets, and implement safety strategies while aligning with Gilbane's values and standards. This opportunity emphasizes leadership, planning, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years of experience on $50M-$100M+ commercial/industrial projects or multiple projects in a lead superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates trade contractors and sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work meeting the project schedule.
• Supervises and develops the project team.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and Next 150/Site Services.
• Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan regarding field changes.
• Leads site walks with the owner, architect/engineer, and financial institutions to show construction progress.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to coordinate trades, plan ahead, and anticipate problems.
• Obtains or verifies permits for construction.
• Follows up with authorities to schedule and complete inspections.
• Acts as primary safety representative in the field and drives safety culture.
• Develops safety strategies and drives safety culture across all project personnel.
