Job summary

VTekis Consulting LLP is seeking an on-site technical support technician to service Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware. You will diagnose and resolve hardware failures, perform component installations and replacements, and coordinate with customers and internal teams during service events.

The role involves hands-on hardware work, BIOS/firmware updates, and thorough documentation of activities. On-call rotations and extended coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair of components such as memory, CPUs, power supplies, fans, drives, RAID/HBA, NICs, GPUs, motherboards.
• Troubleshoot server hardware, BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics.
• Accurately document service activities, replacements, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and extended coverage as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize customer downtime.
• Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair of components.
• Troubleshoot issues involving server hardware, BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics.
• Perform firmware and BIOS updates and utilize server management tools (Dell iDRAC) as needed.
• Document service activities and resolutions accurately.
• Escalate complex issues when appropriate.
