Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Security Project Technician to install, program, start-up, certify and train on data center security systems in Meridian, MS. You will read blueprints, interpret schematics, troubleshoot equipment, and demonstrate systems to customers while supporting project teams.

This full-time role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel locally; Convergint offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Certifications: Product-specific certifications and/or security software certifications preferred (e.g., Lenel, Genetec).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine installation procedures; troubleshoot using test instruments and tools.
• Demonstrate, commission, and hand over systems to customers; provide training and support as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Operations Manager to coordinate projects and improve customer satisfaction.
