Job summary

Suffolk is seeking a Safety Manager for Data Centers to direct compliance with Corporate Safety and Health policies across project sites. The role partners with Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure safety goals and procedures are executed on a project basis within the region.

Ideal candidates bring 3-5 years in construction safety, OSHA Trainer qualifications, and a commitment to CHST development, with strong communication and organizational skills for cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related work experience in Construction Health and Safety.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction or Safety preferred but not required.
• Qualified OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Trainer.
• Willingness to achieve CHST designation within two years.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular site inspections and records safe/unsafe conditions.
• Manages project safety binder and document storage systems.
• Coordinates safety planning meetings with subcontractors.
• Interprets OSHA, NFPA, and local regulations for field operations.
• Reviews Subcontractors' Site Specific Safety Programs before mobilization.
• Monitors Tool Box Talks for documentation and quality.
• Leads accident investigations and documents reports.
• Collaborates with Regional Risk Manager on claims trends and risk management.
• Ensures training on OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, and related topics.
