Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Safety Manager for Data Centers to lead safety programs across project sites. You will work with the Superintendent and Project Manager to implement corporate safety policies and ensure compliance with health plans and procedures.

The role requires 3–5 years of construction health and safety experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with field teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction health and safety experience with knowledge of federal/state regulations and local codes.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction or Safety preferred but not required.
• OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Trainer qualification.
• Willingness to pursue CHST within two years.
• Strong communication and organizational skills."
• CPR instructor training available or provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and document conditions using Predictive Solutions.
• Manage project safety binder and document storage system administration.
• Coordinate safety planning meetings with subcontractors before mobilization.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards; review Subcontractors' Safety Programs.
• Investigate accidents and collect incident reporting forms.
• Coordinate with Regional Risk Manager on claims trends and risk planning.
• Train site personnel on OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, and related topics.
