Job summary

Suffolk is seeking a Safety Manager for Data Centers to oversee safety compliance on project sites within the Virginia Sterling area. You will work with the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure adherence to Corporate Safety and Health policies and procedures, achieving safety goals.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction health and safety, OSHA Trainer qualification, and a drive to obtain CHST within two years.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related work experience in construction health and safety.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Safety preferred but not required.
• Qualified OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Trainer.
• Willingness to achieve CHST designation within two years.
• Demonstrated expertise with construction and safety technologies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular site inspections and records conditions using Predictive Solutions software.
• Performs administrative tasks related to project safety binder and document storage systems.
• Coordinates and facilitates subcontractor Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings.
• Advises on Federal (OSHA) state and local safety/regulations including NFPA and JCAHO Standards.
• Reviews Subcontractors Site Specific Safety Programs and Job Hazard Analysis prior to mobilization.
• Attends and monitors Tool Box Talks conducted by subcontractors for documentation and quality.
• Performs accident investigations and collects incident reporting forms.
