Job summary

Suffolk is seeking a Regional Safety Director, Mission Critical, to lead safety programs for data center projects in Dallas. The role requires extensive experience in construction health and safety, regulatory knowledge, and leadership to oversee Safety Managers and region-wide safety initiatives.

You will drive safety culture, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and mentor teams to achieve best-in-class safety performance across mission-critical sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related work experience in construction health and safety.
• Knowledge of Federal and State safety and health regulations, and local building code issues.

Responsibilities

• Create, communicate, enforce and improve safety programs.
• Foster Suffolk's "Safer Together" safety culture.
• Mentor and supervise Safety Managers as required by VP, EHS.
• Provide project-specific safety process expertise and document storage.
• Coordinate Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings with trade partners/subcontractors.
• Review Site Safety Programs and JHA before mobilization.
• Conduct site evaluations and track corrective actions.
• Attend and monitor toolbox talks for documentation/quality.
• Perform root cause and incident investigations in cooperation with Risk Managers.
• Coordinate with Regional Risk Manager on claims trends and risk planning.
• Ensure TP/subcontractors' training documentation is accurate.
• Provide internal training for OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, and related topics.
