Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Virginia, USA is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join the onsite Construction Management team. You will coordinate with construction managers and vendor teams to ensure fast, high-quality delivery of data center systems and documentation.

You will own communications, RFI/change order workflows, and ensure safety, quality, and milestone tracking across the project. This role requires vendor management experience and a background in data center environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across a data center region's general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards.
• Onboard new vendors for badging and orientation.
• Update project management software with milestone dates and documents.
• Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site.
• Compile and store construction data from vendors.
• Manage checklists including substantial completion, safety, and quality.
