Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Project Engineer to join the on-site Construction Management team supporting AWS data center builds.

You will coordinate with regional general contractors, internal teams, and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of electrical and mechanical systems. You will own RFIs, change orders, and nightly reporting while maintaining documentation and schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years of data center or other critical environment experience.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards for leadership review.
• Evaluate Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk.
• Manage vendor onboarding, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintain project management software with milestone updates and document control.
• Coordinate and monitor owner-furnished material deliveries to sites.
• Establish a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data.
• Oversee QA programs with checklists for substantial completion, safety, and quality control.
