Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join a diverse team overseeing electrical and mechanical systems on data center builds.

You will work onsite with construction managers, coordinate with vendors, and manage information flow, RFIs, change orders, reports, and schedules to ensure fast, high-quality delivery. The role emphasizes collaboration with operations, networking, controls, and security teams, and requires strong vendor management and construction

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years of data center or other critical environment experience.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Establishing communication and coordination across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFI’s (requests for information), and change orders and dashboard and track this information for regional leadership review.
• Requesting and reviewing MOPs (Method of Procedure) for proper detail, necessity, and risk.
• On-boarding new vendors for badging and orientation.
• Updating project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents.
• Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site.
• Compiling and storing construction data from vendors.
• Managing checklist including various checklists including substantial completion checks, safety, and quality.
