Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join a diverse team that designs, builds, and operates AWS data centers.

You will collaborate with Operations, Networking, Controls and Security to deliver energy-efficient, cost-effective data centers for AWS customers. You will be on construction sites daily, coordinating with construction managers and vendors to ensure fast, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Establishing communication and coordination across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFIs, and change orders and dashboard for regional leadership review.
• Onboarding new vendors for badging and orientation.
• Updating project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents.
• Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site.
• Compiling and storing construction data from vendors.
• Managing checklist including various checklists including substantial completion checks, safety, and quality.
