Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking an on-site Data Center Project Engineer in the Shreveport area to support construction managers, coordinate across vendors, and ensure timely, safe delivery of critical data center systems.

You will own communication workflows, RFIs, and change orders while maintaining documentation control and dashboards for leadership review, with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or project management.
• 2+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• 2+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring seamless information flow for construction protocols, documentation access, and standardized procedures.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders, creating detailed dashboards with priority levels and deadlines for regional leadership review.
• Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk assessment.
• Managing vendor onboarding processes, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintaining current project management software with critical milestone updates, correspondence records, and document control.
• Coordinating and monitoring owner-furnished material deliveries to ensure timely arrival at construction sites.
• Establishing and managing a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data.
• Overseeing quality assurance programs through implementation of various checklists, including substantial completion verification, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
