Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Missouri is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to support on-site construction, coordinating with regional contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality data centers.

You will manage RFIs, change orders, schedules, and documentation, while collaborating with Operations, Networking, and Security to ensure safety, efficiency, and timely milestone achievement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience
• 4+ years of data center or critical environment experience
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Establishing communication and coordination across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards for leadership review.
• Requesting and reviewing MOPs for detail, necessity, and risk.
• On-boarding new vendors for badging and orientation.
• Updating project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents.
• Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site.
• Compiling and storing construction data from vendors.
• Managing checklists including safety and quality checks.
