Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for our data center project at a San Marcos, TX site. You will support planning, buyout, management, and closeout, coordinating with the project team to keep schedules and budgets on track.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of project engineering experience, a related college degree, and data center familiarity. Procore, JDE, and Asta experience are preferred; strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of project engineering experience.
• Data center experience is strongly preferred.
• Industry-related college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, update, maintain and post construction documents and drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to complete RFIs.
• Review submittals for accuracy against plans and specs.
• Assist in inspections, compliance audits and non-conformance logs.
• Monitor material and equipment delivery status.
• Maintain and distribute project logs (buyouts, submittals, RFIs).
• Understand scopes of work in subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Track subcontractor change requests and draft change orders.
• Assist with project schedule management.
• Attend project meetings and record minutes.
• Gather closeout information and assist with warranties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
