Job summary

The Weitz Company is recruiting a Construction Project Engineer for a data center project in Boling, TX. You will support planning, buyout, management, and closeout while tracking schedule and budget to keep the project on track.

You will collaborate with the project team, prepare logs, submit RFIs, and assist with subcontracting and change orders. Prior data center experience is highly valued and a degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of project engineering experience is required.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Data center experience is strongly preferred.
• An industry-related college degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, update, and post construction documents and drawings.
• Collaborate with the project team to handle RFIs.
• Review submittals for accuracy against plans and specs.
• Assist in inspections, audits, and non-conformance logs.
• Monitor material and equipment delivery status.
• Maintain project logs (buyouts, submittals, RFIs).
• Assist with subcontracts/purchase orders and change orders.
• Support project scheduling and meeting activities.
• Assist with closing, punch lists, and warranty processes.
