Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join our on-site construction management team for building state‑of‑the‑art data centers.

You will coordinate with operations, security, and vendors to ensure fast, high‑quality delivery while maintaining design integrity and safety protocols. On site daily, you will manage RFIs, change orders, and document control, ensuring milestones are met and information flows smoothly among stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders.
• Evaluate Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk.
• Manage vendor onboarding processes, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintain current project management software with milestone updates and document control.
• Coordinate and monitor owner-furnished material deliveries for timely arrival at sites.
• Establish and manage a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data.
• Oversee QA programs with checklists for completion, safety, and quality control.
