Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in New Carlisle, IN is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join the onsite Construction Management team.

You will support the rapid, high-quality delivery of data center construction while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Security, and Commissioning to build energy-efficient data centers for AWS customers. You will own communications with vendors, manage RFIs and change orders, and ensure documentation control and milestone tracking.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
• 4+ years of experience constructing and managing complex MEP systems.
• 3+ years of experience managing general contractors and vendors, including RFI/submittal tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional communication between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams for construction protocols and documentation flow.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards.
• Evaluate MOP submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk assessment.
• Manage vendor onboarding, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintain project management software with milestone updates and documentation control.
• Coordinate owner-furnished material deliveries to construction sites.
• Establish a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data.
• Oversee quality assurance programs with checklists, safety protocols, and QC measures.
