Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our data center team. You will work closely with senior project managers on all aspects of project management, from RFPs to turnover, mentored toward becoming a Project Manager.

You will support large building construction and civil projects, learning pre-design and pre-construction aspects while maintaining governance and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Construction, or Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working on large building construction or civil projects.
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems, and components.
• Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) and Engineer-in-Training (EIT) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior project managers in preparing RFPs, soliciting proposals, negotiating and managing contracts.
• Coordinate design and construction teams and maintain project governance.
• Conduct field quality control of the craft trades at site and ensure successful project turnover.
• Grow toward taking on broader project management responsibilities.
