Job summary

WSP seeks a Business Development Leader for Data Center – Power Systems to drive growth with data center clients. You will lead commercial and strategic initiatives, build a global internal network, and represent WSP at conferences as a senior business leader.

Ideal candidate has 15+ years in data center power systems, strong leadership and communication skills, and established client relationships. Travel will be required to engage clients and sector activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in data center power systems or critical facilities management in power generation and power delivery.
• Strong knowledge of power systems and power redundancy design.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Interpersonal and communication skills with engineering and non‑engineering audiences.
• Self‑leadership with multi‑tasking and prioritization in a dynamic environment.
• Strong client relationships and industry contacts.
• Travel to support employee engagement, clients, and sector activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and strategic initiatives in data center power market with organizational leaders and delivery teams.
• Build internal WSP network of resources across regions to deliver holistic client solutions.
• Represent WSP at conferences and with client teams as a business leader.
• Foster innovative business development strategies in data center power systems.
• Cultivate long‑term partnerships with clients, vendors, and ecosystem partners.
• Engage clients to build and expand key relationships.
• Oversee proposal preparation and market capture efforts to achieve customer goals.
• Facilitate commercial term negotiations and coordinate cross‑delivery efforts.
• Ensure ethical decision‑making and alignment with WSP’s Code of Conduct.
