Job summary

SpaceXAI seeks an Exceptional Data Center Technician to maintain server and network health across our data centers. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize hardware, cabling, and rack infrastructure while ensuring swift MTTR and MTTR improvements. On-call readiness and onsite availability are required for emergencies.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, exacting attention to detail, and strong communication to share knowledge with the team. This is a fast-paced, error-averse environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with server, storage, compute and network hardware.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking infrastructure.
• 1+ years in inventory management, ordering, receiving and shipping server and network equipment (nice to have).
• Strong Linux skills: directories/files, shell, process management, basic debugging; Bash scripting (nice to have).
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• 24/7 facility may require day and night shift work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and monitoring servers; diagnose and repair; rack and stack network gear during build out.
• Maintain network infrastructure; swaps, diagnostics of optics/fiber links, repair.
• Manage responses and resolutions of data center operations tickets via Jira.
• Create and maintain documentation of tasks and standard operating procedures.
• Receipt and decommissioning of data center hardware.
• Install racks, servers and switches; staging, cabling, power up, handoff to provisioning.
• Maintain warehouse inventory and asset management using internal apps.
• Vendor returns for infrastructure under and out of warranty.
• Manage spare parts inventory within the data center.
• Define, design, and implement network layouts and solutions within data centers.
