Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Indiana seeks a Critical Operations Technician II to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment across interior and exterior building areas. You will monitor building systems, run tests, analyze data, and assist customers on the Data Center floor in person and by phone.

This role is on-site only, with 24x7x365 coverage and no remote option. You will manage tickets, escalate issues to systems engineers, and perform hardware/software

Qualifications

• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical fields.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Two+ years in data center/NOC environment.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge to IT, electrical, and mechanical equipment and operating systems.
• Leads preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment and records readings.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
• Install and configure IT hardware and cabling per provisioning docs.
• Process work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Create/update tickets for customer calls and alerts.
