Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, and mechanical systems within our data center. You will monitor building operations, perform routine data analysis, and support customers on the Data Center floor in person and by phone.

This is an on-site role with no remote options. You will manage tickets, escalate issues to systems engineers, and assist with hardware/software tasks.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training or equivalent experience in IT, electrical, or mechanical fields.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical areas.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Applies learning, knowledge, skills, and company policies to IT, electrical and mechanical equipment, controls, and operating systems.
• Leads and performs preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment; records readings and adjusts as needed.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
• Provide high level computer hardware and software configuration support; install equipment based on documentation and procedures.
• Installs and repairs IT, mechanical, and electrical equipment; assists team with major repairs and maintenance.
• Process work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance; consults with supervisor to order tools and equipment.
• Create/update tickets to address customer calls and alerts; monitor system equipment for safe operation.
• Respond to building emergencies and customer requests; comply with hazardous materials policies.
• Use Change Management Process to obtain approvals and document maintenance per QTS procedures.
