Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Technician to support the operational integrity of critical systems, including mechanical, electrical and fire life safety. You’ll monitor uptime, respond to events, and collaborate with contractors to ensure safety, compliance, and performance across data center facilities.

The role requires hands-on experience with data center infrastructure, reading schematics, and strong problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and fire life safety systems in a data center environment.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA standards and building codes relating to life safety
• Industrial safety best practices including lockout/tag out and arc flash
• Experience with data trending, monitoring systems and PC-based critical monitoring
• Ability to coordinate with contractors for maintenance or upgrades
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technology

Responsibilities

• Develops strategies to minimize operational costs and improve efficiency.
• Maintains and monitors mechanical, electrical and fire life safety systems.
• Responds to abnormal conditions to protect uptime and safety.
• Reads blueprints, schematics and diagrams to determine processes.
• Coordinates with contractors and CF Ops Lead Technician for maintenance.
• Ensures data center regulatory compliance and customer uptime.
• Maintains documentation and communicates issues clearly to stakeholders
