Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and server software in a data center environment. You will handle complex components such as networks, routers, hubs and switches, within a team setting.

The role involves manual rack movement and occasional physically demanding tasks. As part of the AI and Infrastructure team, you will contribute to Google's scale, reliability, and velocity, supporting billions of users and Google Cloud

Qualifications

• Experience with component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
• Experience diagnosing OS, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose straightforward issues with equipment or infrastructure.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
• Disassemble equipment at end-of-life in a team setting.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and servers.
