Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain data center hardware and server software. You will work on servers, networking components, and infrastructure across cutting-edge environments.

In this role you will participate in small project teams, adhere to security standards, and handle manual installation tasks in a physically demanding setting. Weekend or night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing component-level repairs on technical equipment.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting OS, hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and work physically demanding shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects.
• Report issues and follow procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment or infrastructure.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
• Disassemble equipment reaching end-of-life and perform maintenance.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on servers and infrastructure.
