Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead the MEP engineering team responsible for preventive maintenance, operations, and emergency repairs within mission-critical environments.

You will supervise staff, manage client relationships on-site, and ensure infrastructure uptime while adhering to MSAs and SLAs. The role includes a 3-4-4-3 shift rotation and on-site leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years of experience managing critical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, HVAC/cooling, electrical distribution, UPS, and generators.
• Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and retain technical staff.
• Excellent communication to convey complex information under high pressure.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing on-site client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision, training, and development for facility engineers and technicians.
• Oversee configuration management, work orders, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
• Serve as primary on-site operational point of contact for the client.
• Verify that facility infrastructure installations are completed on time.
• Author, review, and prepare RAMS for maintenance activities.
• Oversee daily data hall cleanliness, environmental controls, and space audits.
• Act as the escalation point to resolve critical infrastructure incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for technical processes.
• Model CBRE values and influence stakeholders to maintain high operational efficiency.
