Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is looking for an FM Engineering Operations Manager (Data Centers) to lead Maintenance and Tech Leads, directing 24/7 support for electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems.

You will drive preventive maintenance, rapid repairs, and operational excellence across critical infrastructure. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years in data center engineering management, strong leadership and communication skills, and hands‑on experience with CMMS like Maximo and DCIM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years of engineering management experience in data centers or mission‑critical environments
• Manager‑of‑Managers leadership experience in a 24/7 environment
• Strong written and verbal communication for incident updates and performance expectations
• Mission‑critical leadership to motivate teams and ensure reliability of the engineering department
• Technical proficiency with data center management systems (CMMS like Maximo) and DCIM tools
• Analytical problem‑solving mindset with an emphasis on root cause analysis
• Advanced math and financial literacy to interpret budgets and efficiency metrics

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision and coaching to Maintenance and Tech Leads
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training alignment of frontline technicians
• Manage daily schedules, escalation protocols, and cross‑training across shifts
• Maintain high‑trust relationships with clients, vendors, and external contractors
• Own the site engineering department's OpEx/CapEx planning and budgeting
• Develop site operational goals and track infrastructure efficiency (PUE)
• Ensure safety standards, SOPs, EOPs, and change‑management compliance
• Maintain regulatory records and CMMS compliance
